Grace: The Gift That Carries Us

As I was praying about my 2025 word it struck me that this word is one that will require my full participation and grace. Grace to walk out this next season without judgment of myself. I am sure like myself that there are moments in life when you feel like you’ve missed the mark again. The long to-do list remains unfinished, the goals unmet, the words we spoke weren’t as kind as we hoped, or the vision carrie feels distant and blurred. In those moments, shame and discouragement try to take the lead. But God offers us something far greater: grace.

Grace isn’t earned. It’s not a reward for perfection or performance. It’s a divine invitation to receive love, forgiveness, and strength for exactly where we are.

Grace Is a Bridge, Not a Bypass

Many think of grace as the thing that lets us skip over our flaws, but that’s not its purpose. Grace doesn’t ignore the broken pieces; it meets us there and says, “Let’s rebuild together.” When we fall short, grace doesn’t excuse the fall, it lifts us up, dusts us off, and empowers us to walk forward in purpose and truth.

Grace Makes Room for Growth

When you’re growing in your identity and calling, there will be stumbles. But grace reminds you: You’re still chosen. You’re still valuable. You’re still equipped. You are not defined by yesterday’s mistakes but by the God who called you before you ever made one.

2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” That means your weakness is not a disqualifier, it’s an opportunity for God’s strength to shine.

Grace for Others, Grace for Yourself

Too often, we give grace freely to others but struggle to extend it inward. Let this be your reminder: you are worthy of the same compassion you offer to others. Holding yourself to an impossible standard of perfection robs you of the joy of becoming. And grace is always about becoming.

Walking in Grace Every Day

Here’s how to live it out:

  • Start your day with surrender: “Lord, let Your grace guide me today.”
  • Speak kindly to yourself: What you say to you matters.
  • Give others the benefit of the doubt: Grace extends beyond your own mirror.
  • Celebrate progress over perfection: Growth is messy and it’s okay.

Grace is not passive; it’s power. It lifts, restores, transforms. It empowers you to show up, not as a flawless version of yourself, but as the becoming, beloved, called woman God created.

So today, let’s together take a deep breath. Release the pressure. Walk boldly in grace. You must know and remember God already went before you.
